Mingde Du

Mingde joined the group in May 2023. He obtained a B.E. from the Beijing Institute of Technology (06/2012) and a Ph.D. from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (01/2019), followed by 4+ years postdoc work at Aalto University, Finland. His postdoc project at Aalto University was awarded “High-Quality Proposal” for Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (2020 & 2021) and sponsored by a Postdoctoral Researcher grant from the Academy of Finland (2021, ~380k euros/3 years). He has a multidisciplinary education and research background spanning mechanical engineering, semiconductor physics, electronics and optoelectronics of two-dimensional materials, neural engineering, flexible electronics, silicon photonics, microfabrication, etc. He likes cycling, traveling, and photography in life apart from research.
