Maxine joined our group as a DPhil student in October 2022. She obtained her Bachelor's in Materials Science & Engineering from the National University of Singapore and carried out her thesis on the fabrication of transparent ceramics at the Agency of Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). She then joined A*STAR as a full-time researcher, working on photoluminescent materials for hybrid lighting systems, and eventually obtaining the National Science Scholarship (PhD) to study here in Oxford. Maxine enjoys creating artwork and designs and is hoping to integrate that into her research.
