Guoce joined the group in October 2022. He received his B.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees both in Optical Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2014 and 2020. His PhD thesis was about the enhancement and engineering of the spontaneous emission from nano-emitters mediated by optical nanoantennas (09/2014-01/2020). During doctoral studies, he worked in Prof. Maiken H. Mikkelsen's group at Duke University as a visiting scholar (11/2016-12/2017). After receiving his doctoral degree, he conducted research on nonlinear and ultrafast nanophotonics with Prof. Hayk Harutyunyan at Emory University as a postdoctoral fellow (02/2020-09/2022). His research interest lies in nanophotonics, spanning plasmonics, diffraction gratings, metasurfaces, nonlinear and quantum photonics and related devices.
