Nick is a Departmental Lecturer in nanoscale engineering as of January 2025. He received his DPhil degree in materials from the University of Oxford (2017-2022) working on integrated photonic technologies for computing and sensing. Before joining Oxford, he held research and teaching positions at Columbia University working on lab-on-a-chip technologies, and Boston University working on additive nanomanuacturing and nanometrology. Nick is a former Division I NCAA track and field athlete where he has received several honours including the silver medal at the Greek U23 nationals. When outside the lab, he enjoys hiking, running and chess.
